Not all chocolate tastes the same.  Chocolate has a higher number of flavonoids and anti-oxidants than wine, so just like wine where not all grape varieties or even the same variety from a different region produce the same flavour the same can be said about chocolate. The overall flavour comes from the variety, the growing conditions, the drying, the roasting, the conching and added ingredients.

We aim to source beans from different regions to give you a choice.  We buy from companies that can ensure traceability and transparency so that we can ensure that they are ethical and sustainable.  In return the farmer receives a fair price above the average price and higher than Fairtrade.

Tropical Regions

Cacao trees only grow in tropical regions mainly in South America, the Caribbean, Africa and  Asia.  Ivory Coast and Ghana are the 2 biggest producers and grow over 50% of the world's cocoa.
